Carot Labs is a Singapore and India based rapidly growing biotechnology startup that pioneers in developing microbial alternatives to synthetic products, with emphasis on Nutrition & Health. 

 

The mission of Carot Labs is to create a vertically integrated new-age nutrition brand that delivers highest quality ingredients from microbes, that will be used in nutrition supplements, natural colors and cosmetics serving as a harbinger of our quality and success. Our research pipeline reflects our longterm vision through the research efforts we put in developing natural/microbial/lab-grown alternates for certain high-value molecules of importance to human health. Some examples of our products to be immediately commercialized include algal Astaxanthin, Omega-3 (EPA & DHA), Probiotics, based nutrition and cosmetic formulations for different age groups and conditions. Growth Factors and Morphological proteins are part of our long-term product pipeline. 

 

Our 6000 sq. feet state-of-the-art R&D facility at Perungudi- Chennai, is one of the few Govt of India(DSIR) recognized R&D centers in the Indian startup ecosystem. We are an end-to-end technology development setup with various customization aspects of the technology stack, done in-house. This enables us to stay ahead-of-the-curve and also efficient. Our open lobby and conference area is artistically done keeping in mind the vision to incubate creative ideas. It's green, open, organic, stimulating and what we call, a liberal space.

 

Our young team of scientists and engineers take a multi-disciplinary approach to rethinking problems afresh and developing solutions at often-unprecedented efficiencies. In the evenings, they are typically seen facing off each other at our lush green mini soccer field (90ft X 40 ft) on campus. 

 

Our team has rich and diverse experience from reputed global institutions including, US Dept of Energy - Lawrence Berkeley National Lab Carnegie Mellon University Dupont, UCL, NIH.
